Welcome to the Troy, Texas Church of Christ Web Site, and our NEW meeting house. We invite you to spend some time loo king around on our web site.
Troy Church of Christ has been a beacon of good news to the lost and a sanctuary of rest for saved souls. Our focus continues to be on that Church you can read about in the New Testament of your Bible. Whatever we do either in words or in deeds, we do it by the expressed authority of Jesus Christ as revealed in his Word.
We are guided by these principles:
- We want to speak where the Bible speaks and to remain silent where the Bible is silent in all matters that pertain to religion.
- In everything religious, we must have a "Thus saith the Lord" authorization for all that is done.
- If you cannot find it in the Bible, do not do it.
"If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." -- 1 Peter 4:11.
If you have any question, please visit our "Contact" page and ask any question of a religious and Biblical matter that you may have. Every Bible question has a Bible answer.

H. K.'s Letter for May
April 30, 2013 Troy family, I hope the old saying is true, “April showers bring May flowers.” I know April was cooler than Texas is used to having, but the few showers we received in April were nice. Well here we are in May. I look forward to the end of school and summer time. Our God is a great and awesome God. He created the different seasons for us to enjoy. My prayer for all of us is that we will do exactly that, enjoy the present. Just as was written, “This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24) This last month our nation experienced horrific events. The Boston, MA and West, TX people are working through their difficulties of loss. May we continue to left them up before the Lord. While these horrors are negative we also are witnessing the beauty of some positive things like “coming together”. Recently I read where it was said that April 17th(Boston bombing) is this young people’s “911”. How are they responding? Positively! I wept when I heard the singing of the national anthem at a Red Wings hockey game and a Red Sox baseball game. The entire stadium was singing, not just one person. Yes, a tragedy has taken place, but once again we stand together as a nation. And on a personal note closer to home, Adam Russell has passed on (April 25th) and I have just been amazed on how this community has come together on behalf of him and his family. That is what difficult times do, it brings us together. I must take this time to say thank you Troy family. Thank you for understanding how important it is for me to travel to Glen Rose and at times to Weatherford to visit my mother. Many of you have asked and are asking how she is doing. She is doing very well now. As most of you know I take one day out of each week to drive up to spend the day with her. The last time I did this (and this is becoming the ritual) we talked all day long, never turning on the TV. Her health has gradually improved. I am very fortunate to have three sisters (Paulette, Jeanette and Terrie) who care for her. Being out of town for an entire day like that really puts a hole in my week in getting around seeing everyone here. But that is where you are so special and appreciated. You understand. God bless you. I have received only two responses on how you BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD. I am in need of this for my study and research on this topic. You can help me by writing down or telling me how you accomplish this in your life. I would like to hear from you. Would you share with me either by email (aychkaye@yahoo.com) or call me (254-598-9079) or snail mail me (4330 Lonestar Trl. Temple, TX 76502) or drop a written note in the box located in the foyer labeled BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD? (there are 3X5 cards sitting beside the box for your use) Thank you.
In the month of June, when I visit with you through the written page there will be some extra information I will be sharing with you. I will be explaining this throughout the month of May when we met together to worship God and our bible study time periods. It is dealing with your input on the future of the church here at Troy. I know the church has been here a long time before I arrived and she will remain here long after I am gone. But between now and then I need your input and help. So please be watching for this.
May the Lord bless us as we strive to keep on keeping on. Be still and know who God is, H.K.
